Treat your dad to the best steakhouse in San Diego this Father's Day
Exceptional place for a Father's Day dinner
June has the makings of a fantastic month to visit Puerto La Boca! To begin with, the city's best Argentinian steakhouse makes an exceptional place for a Father's Day dinner. But the beloved neighborhood restaurant also has great things in the works that make it a must-visit stop on the annual Taste of Little Italy stroll!
This year's Taste of Little Italy takes place the evening of June 14, 2017. From 5 to 9pm, many of the neighborhood's best restaurants will open their doors to ticket holders, offering samples of dishes that help make Little Italy the city's number one restaurant destination. For most of these restaurants, that will mean pasta.
Enjoy entraña or our signature skirt steak, dressed with our famous homemade chimichurri sauce
While Puerto La Boca serves several excellent pasta dishes, we want to make sure our Taste of Little Italy guests experience the true lure of an Argentinian steakhouse. So we'll be serving entraña, our signature skirt steak, dressed with our famous homemade chimichurri sauce. We'll be pairing this sumptuous grilled steak with a taste of our house malbec, a fine example of Argentinian red wine, redolent of ripe red fruits.

Be sure to opt for the north route of your Taste of Little Italy Taste Passport to include Puerto La Boca on your itinerary! And before you fill up on delicious pastas, make sure to enjoy our skirt steak and South American flair on Thursday, June 14th.
Celebrate Father's Day at Puerto La Boca in Little Italy
Then, on Sunday, June 18th, celebrate Father's Day by taking dad out for a traditional Argentinian steakhouse dinner. Our smoky slow-cooked steak options include prize cuts like the picaña, which is the top sirloin cap, known as a culotte; and bife ancho, an incredibly flavorful bone-in ribeye. Or, try the impossibly lean and tender lomo, our approach to a filet mignon.
In addition to steaks, we offer tremendous seafood plates including halibut, salmon, and shrimp. And of course, our South American spin on pasta.
But Father's Day might be the perfect occasion to share one of our sizzling grilled meat platters, like the parrillada "el conventillo," which included cuts of short rib, skirt steak, culotte, chicken breast, chorizo sausage, blood sausage and sweetbreads. All of these rich meats go incredibly well with our deliciously herbal, house chimichurri, and they all go well with Puerto La Boca's peerless selection of Argentinian wine, South American beers, and classic cocktails.
With a worldly atmosphere, terrific food and drink, traditional Argentinian music, and top tier service, Puerto La Boca offers the ideal lunch or dinner for Father's Day, or any occasion!
